What is a Twin Flame Relationship anyway?

Twin Flames are a divine connection. It is said that a soul splits into two parts when they incarnated on Earth. One part of the soul represents the Divine Feminine and the other the Divine Masculine. Two sides of the same coin or very well represented in the Yin/Yang symbol.

The Twin Flame Connection can take many forms. It is not restricted to heterosexual, homosexual or even romantic relationships. The main purpose of the connection is to bring love, raise the frequency of the earth and its inhabitants.

When both Twin Flame's incarnate in the same life time that it is the last they have decided to spend on earth. In previous incarnations one would stay in the higher realms acting much like a Spirit guide. As with "regular" Spirit Guides they assist in ensuring the incarnated Twin achieves their Soul Contact.

Twin Flame or Soul Mate?

Twin Flames and Soul mates are often spoken and thought about as being the same thing. This is not totally accurate. All Twin Flames are Soul Mates, but Soul Mates are not always Twin Flames. The key difference is that we only have one Twin Flame, but we can have many soul mates.

Soul mates are people of who come from the same Soul Group or Soul Family as we do. They have similar energetic frequency to us. We may find that you can easily get along with them and that you have similar core aims and values. The opposite can also be true as their main purpose is to keep us moving with our agreed soul contract. Yes they can even be our foes! 10 Signs you have met your Twin Flame...

In my work I have met many clients who would like me to confirm or diagnose Twin Flame connection's. Working with me you will find that this is not something I will do. My belief is that only you, the person experiencing the relationship, can know if this person is your true Twin Flame.

You may be searching for Twin Flame signs to decide if this is the type of connection you are experiencing. This is not a conclusive list of all signs & symptoms of a Twin Flame but include:

1. Synchronicities & signs start to appear around the time you meet your Twin Flame. 1111 is often called the Twin Flame number as a lot of Twin Flames see before and after meeting. This is a little nudge from the Universe to let you know things are aligning!!

2. An instant recognition as if you KNOW you have met them before. This is usually most present in the eyes as they don’t change across lifetimes. (Like when you meet a Soul Mate but in a much more intense way)

3. Meeting under unusual or less than ideal circumstances. For example, a long-distance connection or if one (or both) of you are already involved in a relationship.

4. An innermost knowing that this person is supposed to be in your life. Often that they are the piece that has been “missing” before.

5. A triggering in your spiritual growth, usually through a Kundalini awakening. This can be overwhelming for most due to the intense changes that happen very quickly. At this stage Twin Flames will usually begin to research the connection. They may read Twin Flame books and even encounter psychics and healers as they try to deepen their understanding of the connection.

6. You will be aware of a deep spiritual connection with this person even when you aren’t together. This can be unbalancing when at the beginning of the journey. You will have to discover how to discern their feelings and emotions from your own.

7. Activation of a telepathic connection between the Twin Flames. Even if you are not together or in contact in the physical world, communication between Twin Flames never ceases in the Astral realm.

8. leaving jobs or situations as they move closer to their true-life purpose.

9. A feeling of total and unconditional love for the other person. This means that you will be happy that they are happy no matter the circumstances. This can be difficult to deal with at the beginning of the connection as you battle your ego & societal beliefs.

10. A sense of knowing & peace that they will return to your life no matter the time or distance that has passed.

Twin Flame Stages

It is often said that Twin Flames must go through several stages before they can be united. In my experience these don’t HAVE to happen before Union although they appear to be common. Some of these include:

Meeting your Twin Flame in the physical

“The Perfect Relationship”

Spiritual Awakening & growth

A pause in the relationship (may happen more than once during growth spurts)

One partner growing more quickly than the other (Runner/Chaser dynamic)

Surrendering to the connection

Continuous Vibrational Alignment

Union

It is important that you do not EXPECT these stages to happen for you to Unite with your Twin Flame. Except meeting them of course! I will explain more about this in a later post. The Twin Flame connection is like no other and as each day passes you will notice yourself grow and develop. Breathe and trust the process.
